On 24th of April, a gruesome murder took place near India Gate, New Delhi. A 25-year-old ice cream vendor named Prabhakar was stabbed to death during a fight near India Gate late Wednesday evening. A case of murder was registered under Section 302 IPC. The preliminary investigation suggests that Prabhat was selling ice cream when he had an argument with a customer over payment. The matter escalated and the accused stabbed Prabhat with a knife, before running away from the crime spot. Prabhat rushed to the hospital but was declared dead by the doctors. The police arrested the accused, who was on the run after identifying him with the assistance of CCTV cameras installed in nearby shops. He has been brought to the police station for further information.

On Nov 20, Hezbollah from Lebanon launched 25 rockets, and 3 suicide drones as a result of which plumes of smoke were seen rising from northern Israel. The violence is a spillover from the Israel-Hamas conflict in the Gaza strip. Hezbollah forces and Israel continue to trade rocket and missile fire in areas near the border. Several rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome, while others landed in open areas. The three explosive-laden drones hit an IDF post on the border, reported Times of Israel. As per Israel, the opponent cell had attempted to launch anti-tank missiles from the Marwahin area in Lebanon.

While addressing a public rally on Jharkhand Diwas and mark tribal icon Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary in the Khunti district of Jharkhand on November 15, Prime Minister Narendra Modi coined ‘Amrit Mantra’ to propel India growth trajectory in the next 25 years. “If we want to develop the nation in the next 25 years of 'Amrit Kaal', then we have to strengthen its four 'Amrit Stambha'. The four 'Amrit Stambha' of developed India are women of the country, farmers of the country, youths of the country and neo-middle class and poor people of the country. The nation will be developed when all these four pillars are developed. The amount of work which has been done in the past 10 years to develop these 'Amrit Stambha' was never done before,” said the Prime Minister.

India on Nov 07 successfully carried out the test of the Pralay tactical ballistic missile off the coast of Odisha. As per defence officials, the missile test was highly successful in all parameters and it travelled its full range of around 500 km. In order to create the country’s strong rocket force, last year Defense Ministry cleared the induction of Pralay missile. The Pralay missiles will be acquired at a cost of over Rs 7,500 crore which will be used in conventional roles. 'Pralay' powered by a solid propellant rocket motor and other technologies has been developed by the DRDO. The Pralay ballistic missiles can take out targets at 150 to 500 kms and are extremely difficult to intercept for the enemy. The missile system started getting development around 2015 and its development was given a push by the late Gen Bipin Rawat as COAS. Notably, in the past also India has carried out successful tests of the missile.
