Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 21 attended Bhagwan Mahaveer Nirvan Mahotsav. On the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 2550th Lord Mahavir Nirvana Mahotsav at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi and along with this he wished the countrymen on Mahavir Jayanti. The PM said that Lord Mahavir's message of peace and goodwill is an inspiration for the country in building a 'developed India'. He said that this grand building of Bharat Mandapam is today witnessing the beginning of the 2,550th Nirvana Mahotsav of Lord Mahavir. While addressing the audience there, he also cracked a joke in a very light-hearted manner. His funny political joke left the audience laughing. Namo Drone Didi: PM Modi launches new scheme empowering women

In a bid to empower women, PM Narendra Modi has launched the ‘Namo Drone Didi’ scheme. Under this scheme, 15,000 self-help groups will be given drones during the period 2024-25 to 2025-2026 for providing rental services to farmers for agriculture purpose, and the women will be given drone pilot training. Women will be trained as drone pilots so that they can be financially empowered and receive people's respect. PM Modi said he wanted these women trained in operating drones to receive 'naman' (respect) in their villages and that some people have suggested the name of 'Namo Drone Didi' for the initiative.

Diwali 2023: Ayodhya To Hold Grand Deepotsav To Set Guinness World Record

Diwali 2023: Ayodhya is all set to hold a grand Deepotsav on November 11 on the eve of Diwali. A record attempt would be made with over 24 lakh diyas at 51 ghats set to illuminate the city. Around 25,000 volunteers from Avadh University and the Ayodhya district administration have been roped in to light the diyas at the same time. The team from the Guinness Book of World Records will be counting the lamps with the help of a drone camera. The grand Deepotsav programme in Ayodhya will commence at 3 pm. The Deepotsav will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Almost all ministers of the Uttar Pradesh government will be present in Ayodhya. After the Deepotsav, a laser show has been organised in the city.

The Guinness Book of World Records team has initiated the lamp count at 51 ghats in the presence of the supervisor, ghat in-charge, coordinator, and counting volunteers.
