Soon after the announcement of Apple’s iPhone 17 series, the flagship model, which comes in cosmic orange, has witnessed a considerable surge in demand. Amid the extensive demand, the iPhone 17 Pro Max has gone out of stock within three days after pre-booking, reported PTI.
However, the entire iPhone Pro Max series is not available for pre-order with the pick-up option at Apple stores in India, as per the information sourced from the Apple India website, reported PTI.
The cosmic orange variant of the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max was not available for pre-orders in India for the pick-up at store option.
While asserting the unavailability of the cosmic orange iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, one of the officials said, "I am really sorry to inform you, but due to the large number of pre-orders, all the cosmic orange iPhone 17 Pro Max are being sold very fast, due to which they are not available in any storage variant."
The executive further mentioned that the device in deep blue colour is available for pre-booking at some stores in India, reported PTI.
The further added, "I am really sorry for the inconvenience, but the back-end team are trying their best to restock the orange colour as soon as possible."
To confirm the news, an email query was sent to Apple; however, the Apple officials abstained from replying to the query, reported PTI.
Apple unveiled the iPhone 17 series in the price range of Rs 82,900 to Rs 2,29,900, which will be available in India from September 19 onwards for customers who have pre-booked the device.
According to an expert, some stores will also have limited devices available on September 19, which can be picked up without pre-order. However, those devices will be sold to customers on a first-come, first-served basis, with the tech giant expecting large queues at the Apple Stores across the country, reported PTI.
The iPhone 17 series, which has been priced between USD 799 (about Rs 70,370) and USD 1,999 (Rs 1.76 lakh) apiece, is not available for pre-booking in the US either, reported PTI.
