She has two sons and a grandson.
The deceased stayed alone and her grandson stayed in the neighbourhood. “The grandson called us informing about her death. A neighbour said, she was having tea around 4.30 pm and was found dead later.
Suspecting something wrong, the neighbour called Asha’s grandson, who noticed some ornaments missing and informed the police,” said DCP Makarand Ranade.
Cops said, Rs 75,000 in cash and nine tolas of ornaments have been stolen. “Prima facie, death has been caused by strangulation. We suspect someone known to the victim is behind the act,” Ranade informed.
