What is our fault if the number of doctors is inadequate? asked Hari Lal, one of the patients admitted in the casualty ward.Even nurses and other staff are worried over the issue.We are already working double shifts; we are giving our best. But if a patient wants to get treated, we are the secondary solution. Primarily, they need to get treatment from senior doctors, said one of the nurses on the condition of anonymity.Even patients are going to suffer because of such a decision. There are a large number of patients who have been allocated dates for surgeries, unfortunately. Now they will have to be cancelled, said another HOD of the hospital expressing her surprise over the issue.Meanwhile, the report prepared by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) also reflects the lack of services being offered to patients. Usually, almost 10 - 12 cases of dengue are reported by the hospital every day. Contrary to the trend, there were zero cases from the hospital on Monday.Delhi Health Minister Dr Kiran Walia was unavailable for comments.
