A man has been reunited with his wallet 35 years after it went missing
The owner, Richard Lane, thinks that the wallet was thrown away after a thief had helped himself to the money in it - about 15 pounds, the Mirror reported.
The wallet was found complete with Lane’s driving licence, gym and union membership cards, and a payment plan for a TV and was found by builders working on a lift shaft at a leisure centre in St Ives, Cambs.

Richard, who lives 100 miles away in Evesham, Worcestershire, was alerted by his mum after an appeal to find the owner was launched.
Richard told the publication that it was amazing that it’s been found.
He added that it looks like someone had taken the cash out of it and then chucked it into a lift shaft to hide it.u00a0
