Alleging harassment by senior, cop attempts suicide

A senior police official, on condition of anonymity, said that Gowda, during his stint in Peenya and Vidhana Soudha police station, behaved the same way. He had hit a head constable in the Peenya police station and had attempted to hit a sub-inspector at the Vidhana Soudha police station. Meanwhile, a case ofattempting suicide will be registered against Gowda and an enquiry will be initiated against Chabbi on the harassment allegations, said a senior officer.
