Los Angeles: The person who recorded the elevator fight between Jay Z and sister-in-law Solange has been fired by the hotel for "breaching" their security policies.

The Standard Hotel, where the video took place, said the person had been let go for "breaching the security policies of the hotel and recording the confidential CCTV video."

The original story, which took the Internet by storm, first broke on Monday when TMZ posted a three-minute video without audio where Solange is seen kicking and punching Jay Z while Beyonce looks on.

According to the website, the security footage was recorded last week when the celebrities were leaving a post party of Met Gala. After the video became public, the hotel released a statement saying they were "shocked and disappointed" by the leak. The celebrities are yet to comment about the fight.
