Leonardo DiCaprio's big dreams for small screen

LeonardO DiCaprio is heading to the small screen for a big project with Showtime.

The movie star is attached as an executive producer to an untitled 1980s drama exploring the mafia, along with Ray Donovan writer Brett Johnson, who will exec produce and pen the series, reported an entertainment daily.

The Brooklyn-set potential series follows a decade-long relationship between an unstable mafia captain and a rogue federal agent, each violating the strict codes of their respective organisations.

The drama examines the power the Wall Street era had on the mafia and the FBI.
