RCB skipper Daniel Vettori now has a different plan of action in mind and that is simply to - win games!

RCB will shun experimentation and focus on semis: Vettori

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Daniel Vettori today said his side will look to shun experimentation and focus on winning the next four to five games to qualify for the semi-finals in IPL V. "We are fifth on the points table.

If we win next four to five games we will qualify for semis.

So I don't think there is a need for experimentation for games coming up. We would like to continue guys who have been doing a good job," Vettori said on the eve of their match against Kings XI Punjab.

Vettori said he would love to play Muttiah Muralitharan, but the ploy to field three overseas batsmen has worked for the team and would prefer to continue with it.u00a0

"It is more difficult to have a right balance amongst overseas players," he added. Asked about his team's inconsistent bowling unit, Vettori said:

"We probably haven't bowled well as a unit. We have bowled well for 16-17 overs and have had two-three very bad ones, and that has cost us games. "I think we've got to go out there and look to attack as much as we can.

Taking wickets always makes things a little bit easier and it's something we haven't done as much as we need to. Bowlers need to search for wickets," Vettori said.

Asked about RCB's overdependence on Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers, vettori said: "It's always difficult to expect every batsman to fire because the nature of the game is so different and situations vary all the time.

"Within the group, we don't think about who has fired. For us every new game is an opportunity to score runs. We have our best batsmen batting in top six to do the job, which they have. As a batting unit, we've done a very good job." u00a0
