Terry dismisses crisis talk ahead of Tottenham clash

Chelsea captain John Terry insists there is no crisis at Stamford Bridge as the Blues look to end their current dismal run of form with victory over Tottenham at White Hart Lane tonight.

Chelsea have won just two out of their last eight games in all competitions in a run that has led to speculation over the future of coach Carlo Ancelotti. Their 1-0 Champions League defeat by Marseille in midweek was the latest setback, but despite their worst run of results for more than a decade, Terry remains confident an upturn in fortunes is around the corner.

"Nothing has changed on the squad basis, it's just about staying together and staying confident.

"There's no point pointing the finger at individuals, we're not going to dig each other out, it's about being men and being told and listening to what each other has to say.

"We went three years without winning the Premier League and got it back last year. Believe me the celebrations afterwards and the feeling of getting our hands on that trophy was unbelievable, it was like the first time we had won the trophy." The Blues face Spurs, Man United and Arsenal in three games that could define their season this month. Terry added: "I don't think anyone can say they're playing well, the good thing is we're not out of it, we're in with a very good chance and we've certainly got the ability to go to Tottenham, to go to Arsenal and get great wins like we have done in previous years. "It's time for all of us to stand up.
When the chips are down you have to make things happen yourself, because nobody will give you anything in this game."
