Will the bold Marathi film 'Chitrafit 3.0 Megapixel' manage a smooth release?

With the state government taking a critical view of the 'vulgar' AIB Knockout videos following protests, concerns have been raised over the release of a Marathi film that is peppered with bold content. Divakar Ghodake's upcoming film, 'Chitrafit 3.0 Megapixel', is about an unfaithful lover filming private moments with his unsuspecting girlfriend and circulating the video.

Though the director has secured an 'A' certificate after a few cuts, a question mark hangs on its smooth release. Divakar says, "It got an adult rating after a few scenes were cut. I want girls in every nook and corner of India to watch the film. It has a message and everything has been shot aesthetically."
The film's poster, too, is quite bold and said to be first-of-its-kind in Marathi cinema. The director, however, is optimistic that there would not be any issue. "Sex scenes are part of the film, but I feel the audience will accept it. Once the Censor Board passes a film, I don't think anybody should object to it. The process of getting certificate is a unanimous decision taken by a group of qualified people. However, this is India and some people may have a problem. But hopefully, it won't be a major issue," he says.
