Maxwell fights back | Last-ditch bid to overturn 20-year sentence
19 December,2025 12:18 AM
Ghislaine Maxwell is making a bold new move from behind bars, launching a fresh legal challenge aimed at overturning or sharply reducing her 20-year federal sex trafficking sentence. Convicted in 2021 for her role in Jeffrey Epstein’s trafficking network, Maxwell now claims her trial was fundamentally flawed and that critical evidence never reached the jury. In newly filed court papers, Maxwell argues that post-trial disclosures from civil lawsuits, sealed court records and previously unavailable materials would have dramatically altered the outcome of her case.
