Chandimal inspires Wayamba win
Dinesh Chandimal found form at the right time with a 54-ball 75 as Wayamba United knocked the Lasith Malinga-led Ruhuna Royals out of the inaugural Sri Lanka Premier League at the R Premadasa Stadium on Sunday. Chandimal smashed 11 boundaries as Wayamba postedu00a0162-7 in 20 overs. In reply, Ruhuna Royals fell short by 15, managing just 148-9 with Lahiru Thirimanne top scoring with an unbeaten 40 in 34 balls. Malinga’s 15-ball 22 in the end was crucial too, but not enough.
