What are you looking forward to the most in India? Do you also plan to catch up on some sight-seeing?
Yes, I travel the world and India is something which on my wish list. I’m excited to be checking this off soon. My friend in India, Saurabh Choudhary, will take care of my sight-seeing plans and I’m sure he has the best in mind. I want to go street shopping when I’m here. I’ve heard a lot about Colaba Causeway, Gateway Of India and Leopold Café. I plan to also party at a Mumbai nightclub as I’ve heard a lot about the city that never sleeps. I have a huge shopping list that I need to take back home — everything from saris to bindis to Kolhapuri chappals. I want to eat a lot of Indian spicy food and sweet delicacies.

What's on your gig list for Mumbai?
Party, party, party and rock this city! I’m in a high party mode for India. I think that’s all I need. It’s going to be all my new singles for the very first time in India.

LMFAO has been on a hiatus since 2012. What exactly was the reason for the break, and what do you hope to do in the future?
We are on a break to explore different music and satisfy our own hunger for more music and more versatility. We shall get back once we think the time is right.

As a solo artist, what do you hope to achieve that you couldn’t as a band?
Like I said, we are exploring new things which obviously will entail different music. But be rest assured that the goal doesn’t change. We are still here to party.

SkyBlu performs at The Lalit Hotel, Sahara Airport Rd, Andheri East on March 9. Tickets are priced at Rs 2,250, Rs 3,500 and Rs 7,500.
