Twitter celebrates as triple centurion Karun Nair ends Virender Sehwag's 12-yr wait
Karun Nair on Monday ended former India opener Virender Sehwag's long wait of 12 years and 8 months to see another Indian cricketer join the 300-club. And Twitter couldn't stop rejoicing

Karun Nair on Monday became just the second Indian cricketer to score a triple century in a Test innings. Nair's unbeaten 303-run knock saw him join former India opener Virender Sehwag in the very exclusive 300-run club which has seen only Viru as it's lone member for 12 years and 8 months.
Sehwag must have been getting quite lonely in the club, what with no other Indian being able to score a triple ton since his 319 against South Africa in Chennai in March 2008.
Well, Sehwag's wait is over. Nair's here.
And this is how Sehwag welcomed him to the club:
Yay ! Welcome to the 300 club @karun126 .— Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) December 19, 2016
It was very lonely here for the last 12 years 8 months.
Wish you the very best Karun.Maza aa gaya!
The right-hander remained undefeated at 303 at stumps on the fourth day of the fifth match against England in Chennai, reaching the landmark in the 191st over of India's first innings at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium on Monday.
India declared their first innings after Nair reached 303, posting a massive 759/7, in response to England's 477. Nair's mammoth effort took 381 balls, with 32 boundaries and four sixes.
Nair reached the milestone off the bowling of leg-spinner Adil Rashid when a misfield at point resulted in a boundary that brought up his triple-hundred, thereby helping Nair become the first Indian to turn his maiden hundred into a triple.
Nair's 303 runs was the third highest individual score by an Indian in Tests, after former opener Virender Sehwag, who heads the top scorer's list with two triple centuries.
Sehwag scored 319 against South Africa in Chennai in March 2008 and 309 vs Pakistan in March-April 2004 at Multan in Pakistan.
