In 2000, he obtained the esteemed MRCOG degree from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London, further enhancing his expertise in the field.
Since 2002, Dr. Mukherjee has been practicing as a consultant gynecologist in Kolkata, affiliating himself with renowned hospitals such as Woodlands Multispecialty Hospital and Manipal Hospital in Salt Lake. His areas of specialization encompass Sexual and Reproductive Health, Menopausal Medicine, and High-Risk Pregnancy Care. Moreover, he possesses a deep-seated passion for creating health awareness and promoting medical education among the general public through mass and social media platforms.
Dr. Basab Mukherjee's contributions extend beyond clinical practice, as he has actively engaged in the administration and leadership of various medical organizations at the state, national, and international levels. He served as the Vice President of FOGSI (Federation of Obstetric and Gynecological Societies of India) and currently holds the position of Vice President in the Bengal Obstetric and Gynecological Society. Additionally, he serves as the South Asia Coordinator of the Safe Abortion Committee for FIGO (International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics).
