RUBARU 2026

In a unique creative collaboration, celebrated visual storytellers Haroon Ali and Karan Hanskar have teamed up with acclaimed photographer Amit Khanna and  Pankaj Kharbanda for this year’s much-anticipated Glar-Iconic calendar, RUBARU 2026 - a cinematic ode to The Celebration of Indian Women.

The announcement comes ahead of the calendar’s exclusive sundowner launch on 21st January 2026 , where the city’s creative circle is expected to gather in appreciation of this powerful project.

Haroon Ali, whose lens has captured some of Bollywood’s most iconic personalities including Taapsee Pannu, Raveena Tandon, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, brings his signature cinematic sensibility to the project. Known for his evocative portraiture and dynamic visuals, Haroon’s involvement underscores RUBARU 2026’s intent to fuse artistry with narrative depth.

Joining him is Karan Hanskar, director of the acclaimed Marathi music video Taambdi Chaamdi - a genre-bending, widely streamed visual that blended EDM and Marathi rap to become a cultural conversation starter, and which has garnered millions of streams worldwide.

RUBARU 2026 is far from a conventional calendar - it is a visual anthology of femininity in its many phases. Each of the twelve images stands alone as an evocative portrait, and together they form a cinematic journey through strength, desire, resilience, love, identity, and transformation. Featuring celebrities such as – Shweta Tiwari, Jaya Bhattacharya, Gulki Joshi, Divya Agarwal, Akanksha Puri, Aneri Vajani, Jamie Lever, Ashnoor Kaur, Tinaa Dattaa, Rohit Verma, Rrahul Sudhir, Komica Anchal, Diandra Soarres

From a woman at an auto rickshaw wheel symbolising agency and public presence, to a tribute to elemental forces of nature - where fire, water, wind and earth echo a woman’s inner power - the calendar reframes traditional narratives into modern expressions of selfhood.

Other frames engage with mythology in fresh ways, challenging outdated norms with poetic dignity; while intimate compositions celebrate empathy, friendship, and liberated desire with equal grace.

Amit Khanna, whose body of work bridges fashion, film, and fine art, says the concept is rooted in truth over perfection.

“We wanted each frame to reflect lived experience - not just idealised beauty. This is about women as they are: powerful, complex, beautifully undefinable.”

Both Haroon Ali and Karan Hanskar are expected to share creative anecdotes and behind-the-scenes perspectives, while Amit Khanna and Pankaj Kharbanda will speak on the calendar’s overarching philosophy - one that “meets women rubaru (face to face), in every phase of life”.
