On the solemn occasion of the 7th death anniversary of legendary poet Gopal Das ‘Neeraj’, a grand event titled ‘Nirantar Neeraj Samman Samaroh’ was organized at the Press Club of India, New Delhi, under the leadership of Upendrra Rai, Patron of Mahakavi Gopaldas Neeraj Foundation Trust. The ceremony witnessed the presence of former Union Minister Murli Manohar Joshi along with several renowned literary figures, artists, lyricists, and cultural personalities.

The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by Upendrra Rai, CMD of Bharat Express News Network and Patron of the Mahakavi Gopaldas Neeraj Foundation Trust.


Remembering the poetic legacy and literary contributions of Mahakavi Gopal Das ‘Neeraj’, Upendrra Rai said, “Neeraj Ji was not just a poet, he was a sentiment. His words connected with the hearts of the masses and continue to remain relevant even today. The memories of such literary legends allow us to explore the depths of human emotion.”

During the ‘Nirantar Neeraj Samman Samaroh’, celebrated personalities like acclaimed writer Prasoon Joshi, lyricist Sameer Anjaan, actor Vineet Kumar Singh, filmmaker Boney Kapoor, former Union Minister and BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi, Treasurer of Siddhivinayak Trust and Mumbai BJP Vice President Acharya Pawan Tripathi, and noted comic poet Surendra Sharma shared their thoughts and heartfelt memories of Mahakavi Neeraj.

The program was aimed at preserving and passing on the literary heritage of Mahakavi Neeraj to future generations. It not only paid tribute to his timeless work but also showcased an enduring dedication to literature and the arts. Many speakers paid homage by reciting Neeraj’s soulful and heartfelt poetry, keeping his memory alive through words that continue to touch hearts.
