Parineeti Chopra is leaving no stone unturned to learn badminton for her upcoming film where she will be essaying the role of ace shuttler Saina Nehwal. The 30-year-old actress was snapped by the photographers at her gym in Bandra, Mumbai. All Pics/Yogen Shah
For her gym session, the Kesari actress opted for a simple white t-shirt and olive green leggings. She paired her attire with white sports shoes and her favourite pink-black gym bag.
Apart from maintaining her figure, Parineeti can also be spotted honing her badminton skills as prep for the biopic. Her two-hour lessons aside, the actor has begun watching videos of the ace shuttler's matches to ape her body language.
Having replaced Shraddha Kapoor in the Amole Gupte-directed venture, Chopra is pulling out all stops. She says, "I am a visual learner. So the most important advice that I got from Amole sir and my training team was that I must watch Saina's matches. I want to play exactly the way she does. [I make a note of] how she drops her foot, how she uses her racquet and her aggression on the court. I have to imbibe these traits into my personality."
On playing Saina Nehwal, Parineeti says, "I was dying to do a sports-based film. It's a part of my personality as an actor that I have never explored, and I am so happy that I get to portray a strong and powerful girl like Saina! She has put our country on the world map and I excited to put in all the training and hard work that comes with learning the game of Badminton and portraying Saina on screen.
Apart from the biopic, Parineeti has lined up a long list of projects. Last seen in Akshay Kumar's Kesari, Pari will be next in Bhuj: The Pride Of India, Jabariya Jodi, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and the Hindi remake of The Girl On The Train.
