On the personal front, Sonu Sood has been a huge help for a man stuck amidst the pandemic situation, financially and personally. People have been calling him a Messiah for real.
Sonu Sood has helped hundreds of thousands of migrants to reach their native places amid the coronavirus induced lockdown when many like them were walking back to their homes.
Even during the ongoing Ganesh Chaturthi festival, Sonu Sood arranged transport for all Lord Ganesha devotees and sent buses from Mumbai to the Konkan region of Maharashtra.
On the work front, Sonu Sood is gearing up for the period drama Prithviraj, produced by Yash Raj Films and starring Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, and Miss World Manushi Chhillar.
Sonu Sood said: "I am producing a biopic of (badminton player) PV Sindhu and the film is in pre-production stage at the moment. We will share details of that film very soon."
Sonu Sood further added, "I will also start the shoot for two South Indian films this year. With 'Prithviraj' and two South Indian films and my home production, this year is going to be very important for me. So, I am looking forward to it."
Prithviraj is a historical drama that traces the life of King Prithviraj Chauhan. The film stars Akshay Kumar in the title role while Manushi Chhillar makes her debut as Rani Samyukta. The film is slated to release on November 13, on Diwali.
