Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan will be Janhvi Kapoor's co-star in the biopic of air force pilot Gunjan Saxena, India's first female combat aviator who played a pivotal role during the 1999 Kargil war.
Karan Johar has bought the rights to make a film on Gunjan Saxena, India's first woman combat aviator. She flew into the war zone during the 1999 Kargil war. Gunjan was also one of the 25 young women who formed the first batch of female IAF trainee pilots.
"I made my debut with 'Dhadak' this year. Our film has been seen by audiences across the globe since it released worldwide and many of them including people staying in Norway have seen the film and sent their good wishes via social media. This recognition is a pleasant surprise. I am happy to receive this honour and humbled that they chose me for this honour," Janhvi Kapoor said in a statement.
Ishaan Khatter was also snapped in the city. On the work front, Ishaan made his last on-screen appearance opposite Janhvi Kapoor in Shashank Khaitan's Dhadak.

Ishaan expressed his view in an episode of Voot's Feet Up with the Stars Season 2, read a statement. During the episode, Ishaan also opened up about how he befriended his Dhadak co-star Janhvi Kapoor. "The first movie we watched was 'La La Land' and then we became friends soon after," he said.
