The 36-year-old, who started dating Kopelman in February last year, reportedly got engaged in Sun Valley, Idaho, over the Christmas break, reports contactmusic.com.
A source, who revealed that the ring which the actress is wearing is by diamond company Graff, told People magazine: "They are very happy together. He's madly in love and knows she's the one."
Barrymore was previously married to Canadian actor Tom Green and producer Jeremy Thomas.
