Los Angeles: Three new pictures of Michael Fassbender in "Assassin's Creed" has landed online.

New shots reveal the dual roles that Fassbender plays - as both Callum Lynch and his Assassin ancestor Aguilar, reported Entertainment Weekly.

Three striking previews of the video game adaptation juxtapose Callum's dimly lit and grimy holding cell with the majesty of 15th century Spain.

In the 'Assassin's Creed' movie, Callum must gather enough knowledge about the ancient Assassins to defeat their rivals the Templars once and for all.

Reuniting with Fassbender for 'Assassin's Creed' is his 'Macbeth' co-star Marion Cotillard, with Jeremy Irons as the shady boss of Abstergo Industries.

'Assassin's Creed' is currently scheduled to reach US and UK cinemas next Christmas.
