Director Matt Reeves will reportedly direct the sequel to 2011 sci-fi film "Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes".
Reeves, 46, who has directed movies like "Cloverfield", and "Let Me In" will helm the sequel titled as "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,"
There was a long discussion and meeting with several directors Reeves was finalised for the movie, reports contactmusic.com.
The movie was a story about a virus injected in chimpanzees for testing, but which eventually gave them intelligence at par with humans.
"Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" is slated to release in 2014.
