Ashton Kutcher, who's playing Steve Jobs in an upcoming biopic, says the late entrepreneur was always in search of a father figure
There has been quite a buzz about Steve Jobs’ upcoming biopic with Ashton Kutcher in the titular role. While it’s well known that Steve was adopted by Paul Jobs and his family when he was a kid, the co-founder of a gadget brand was apparently in search of a father figure till his last day on earth.

According to sources, director Joshua Michael Stern and writer Matt Whiteley met up with a lot of Jobs’ co-workers and family to find lesser-known facts about the visionary. While exclusively speaking to HitList, Kutcher says, “There is a history behind every legend. Behind his calm and uber-creative façade, Jobs was always in search of a father figure.”
And that’s what the actor says drove Jobs to seek creative partners in engineering genius Steve Wozniak, investor Mike Markkula and marketing virtuoso John Sculley. “We spend our lives looking for partners,” adds Kutcher.
