Ever since the South star made his Bollywood debut in Rai's film, 'Raanjhanaa' (2013), the two have remained close.
They also bond over their love for great cinema. Dhanush had earlier produced the Tamil version of Rai's recent production, 'Nil Battey Sannata'.
