He launched the music of Marathi film 'Sanngto Aika...!' Monday and shared his desire to feature in such movies.

When asked if he would do a lead role in a Marathi film, he said: "Oh definitely, I would love to do a lead role in a Marathi film."

Salman believes Marathi cinema has huge potential and has been ignored.

"I love Marathi cinema. It has been ignored for a very long time. This cinema can touch great heights and it is important to spread as much awareness as possible," he said.

Salman is also reportedly planning to remake Mahesh Manjrekar's 2010 hit Marathi movie 'Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho'.
