Veteran actor and producer Kamal Haasan turned 71 today.  On the occasion, Haasan's actor-singer daughter Shruti wished Happy birthday to her 'favourite human & incredible appa'. The actress took to her official Instagram handle and dropped a lovely video compilation of some of her precious and goofy moments with her father.

Wishing the veteran actor on his special day, Shruti wrote, "Happy birthday to my favourite human who also happens to be my incredible appa :) (sic)."



Showing her gratitude to Kamal Haasan for being the 'most adorable daddy', she added, "Thankyou for your words of wisdom that you impart with such ease and humour , Thankyou for being the most adorable daddy who still buys me my Favourite cookies and snacks yourself, the best person to sing with and talk music and movies and for being the one person who makes me laugh through everything (pink heart emoji)."

"This birthday I wish for you to be all that you continue to dream to be … your magic your sparkle and your Gorgeous soul is without comparison in this universe .. happy happy to you (cake, balloon and Partying face emoji) @ikamalhaasan," the post concluded.

Wishes pour in for Ulaganayagan 

Several celebrities cutting across film industries joined scores of people from all walks of life in greeting actor, producer and politician Kamal Haasan, who turned 71 years old on Friday.

Actress Khushbu Sundar, who is a good friend of actor Kamal Haasan and whose husband Sundar C is to direct Rajinikanth's next film that is being produced by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International, was among the first to greet the actor. 

Taking to her social media timelines, Khushbu wrote, "To my fav, ikamalhaasan Sir. Happy birthday."

Malayalam actor Joju George, who worked with Kamal Haasan in director Mani Ratnam's 'Thug Life', was also among the first to wish Kamal Haasan a happy birthday. He wrote, "Happy birthday to my dearest Kamal sir  everlastingNayagan #GOAT #myfav ikamalhaasan."

Several production houses too greeted actor Kamal Haasan on his special day. Well known director Lingusamy's production house Thirrupathi Brothers took to its X timeline to greet Kamal Haasan.
