The seventeenth week inside the Bigg Boss 13 house began on a fresh and happy note when Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan entered the house. The duo who were there to promote their upcoming film Love Aaj Kal brought along a unique and useful gift, i.e. a frying pan, that left the housemates in splits.
Up next, Sara and Kartik engaged the housemates in some fun games. In the first game, the contestants were asked to perform a task given by Sara. The winner would get the power to dump the other contestant in the recycling bin. Sara called Asim and Sidharth to compete for maximum thumkas. The pair put on an entertaining show that impressed everyone.
Later, Salman asked Sara and Kartik if they could spot some Love Aaj Kal jodis inside the house. They promptly took Paras-Mahira and Sidharth-Shehnaaz's name.
The next day also saw the entry of another guest, Hina Khan, who came to elect the second member of the Elite Club through a task. In the task, 3 horses were placed in the garden area. On the first buzzer, 3 contestants had to grab their spots on the merry go round. On the sound of the buzzer, one contestant had to get down and elect another contestant as their replacement. The contestant already seated had to convince the other contestant to get down.
On the sound of the first buzzer, Rashami got down and Vishal hopped onto the horse. While changing sides, Vishal's legs touched the ground. Sidharth noticed this and called out the sanchalak (captain) Asim to disqualify Vishal from the task. Asim felt that Sidharth was lying. The war of words between the two transformed into an ugly fight, and an agitated Asim ended up pushing Sidharth.
This angered Sidharth who made a very personal comment on Asim's father. Asim pushed Siddharth and said: "Aankhein noch dunga. (Will gouge out your eyes)". Sidharth made it clear to his team members that no one will get to participate from his team if Vishal doesn't get off the horse. Bigg Boss then asked Sidharth and Asim to part ways and calm themselves down, and let the task go on as planned.
After the ugly spat, Rashami and Arti were announced as the contenders for the task. Arti and Rashami were given another task titled 'Kabhi Ha Kabhi Na'. Each contestant was asked to give an 'Aadesh' (order) to the contenders of the elite club. If the contender agreed, she will have with a 'haan' and if not then she will have to show a thumbs down. The person with more thumbs down would then lose the game.
The contestants asked Rashami to trim her eyebrows. Before Rashami could react to it, Hina rejected the task. Next, Mahira asked Rashami to apply Mehendi on her face and Rashami agreed to it. Vishal, who was the next one to give the Aadesh asked Arti to cut her hair.
While Arti agreed to it, Hina and the other contestants got angry and asked Vishal to give sensible tasks. But Arti like a sport agreed to go ahead with the task. Soon after, Shefali asks Arti to eat 20 chillies, which she successfully manages to do.
Meanwhile, Sidharth and Asim once again got into a verbal fight in front of Hina Khan. Their tussle led to an ugly fight and Bigg Boss intervened and called them in the confession room. Sidharth told Bigg Boss that he cannot stand Asim anymore and requested to quit the show.
The next day, Bigg Boss announced the nomination task. A chessboard was placed in the garden area with pawns bearing contestants' images. The contestants had to move the pawn of the contestant they wished to save ahead at the sound of the buzzer. At the sound of the first buzzer, Sidharth moved Arti's piece one step forward to save her from the nomination.
This was not liked by Shehnaaz who later told Paras that Sidharth was now choosing other people over her and compared it to the incident when Paras elected Mahira over her. Shehnaaz broke down while saying this and rushed to the washroom.
Arti followed her to console her but Shehnaaz refused to talk to anyone. When Arti tried harder to talk to Shehnaaz, the two had a fierce fight which seemed endless. Arti tried to justify why it happened but Shehnaaz paid no heed to her. The drama continued and Shehnaaz brought the entire house down.
Later, Mahira informed the other roommates that there was no need to cook dinner as there is a lot of leftover lunch. Upon hearing this, Rashami lost her cool and got into a verbal spat with Mahira. She insisted on cooking more food and said that she didn't care if there is extra food. She also reminded the housemates that when the kitchen duties were allotted to her, she was blamed for being lazy. Sidharth intervened and tried to calm Rashami down but she refused to listen to him as well and continued her fight with Mahira.
Up next, Bigg Boss announced the captaincy task. The Bigg Boss house was attacked by a huge spider and every time the spider moves, its eggs had to be collected. Baskets with names of every contestant were placed in the garden area and each contestant had to collect eggs at regular intervals and put them in the assigned baskets. The one with the least amount of eggs in the first round got eliminated from the task. As a punishment for getting aggressive during their fight, Sidharth and Asim were not allowed to participate.
The captaincy tasks began, and Vishal became the 'Sanchalak'. Making his decision, Vishal accused the other team of cheating and declared Shehnaaz as the winner of the first round. The contestants refused to accept this and started protesting.
Fed up with their attitude, Bigg Boss called the contestants in the living area and reprimanded Vishal for being the most confused 'Sanchalak' ever. As a result of his attitude, the entire house had to bear the brunt. Additionally, Bigg Boss declared that this was their last chance to win the immunity and there won't be any more tasks going forward.
After announcing that it was the contestants' last task to get immunity, Bigg Boss asked the
contestants to evaluate themselves based on their past performances. As a surprise, they had to jointly nominate two contestants who they felt were responsible for getting the majority of the tasks cancelled.
The discussion again went out of hand with the contestants' words and language. Shefali Jariwala played her card and revealed that some of the inmates had been addressing Arti as Sidharth's 'fixed deposit' behind her back. Furious at the allegation, Arti confronted Rashami which made the fight uglier and Arti broke down. Arti went to the confession room and cried her heart out.
At the end of the week, it was time for Salman Khan's class. It was no surprise for us when he took Asim and Sidharth to the cleaners for fighting and abusing each other.
He said that since they want to hit each other, he would give them an opportunity, and opened up the door for them to go out and fulfill their wish of hitting each other. While Asim refused to do so, Sidharth readied himself by flexing his muscles. Drawing the matter to a close, Salman said that if they don't control their anger, they will have to face serious repercussions.
Later, Saif Ali Khan and Alaya Furniturewala came up on stage to promote their upcoming film Jawaani Jaaneman. Salman gave them a warm welcome and got them to interact with the housemates. Before making an exit, Saif played the guitar leaving everyone mesmerised.
So should we say all's well that ends well? It's too early to say if the contestants will turn into one big happy family or the fights and drama continue. For the contestants, the seventeenth week inside the Bigg Boss 13 house has been a tumultuous ride. We certainly can't wait to see what all is in store for us next week.
