The 2021 VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) may have just concluded but it doesn’t mean that cricket will have to rest. 2021 is barely over and there are still many matches that you can look forward to. This is what’s great about this sport. Cricket always has a busy international calendar and cricket fans won’t easily get bored.

With still so many matches to see before another new year, you can be sure that you won’t have to miss live betting on today’s cricket match. Here are the important matches you should know about!


ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021/2022


Just two days after the 2021 IPL conclusion is another prestigious cricket tournament which is the T20 World Cup. It is set to kick off on October 17 with 2 matches: Oman vs Papua New Guinea and Bangladesh vs Scotland. This tournament will have 16 teams take part in three stages with a total of 45 matches. All venues will be in the UAE and Oman with the final set to be played on November 14.

Women’s Big Bash League 2021

On-going is the seventh edition of the Women’s Big Bash League in Australia. This is a semi-professional women’s T20 domestic tournament that started on October 14. A total of eight teams are playing throughout all 59 matches. The final of the tournament is set for November 27, 2021.

New Zealand Tour of India

If you miss seeing cricket action in India, then you’ll be happy to know that the New Zealand tour is already confirmed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for this year. It is set to start on November 17 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. It will have a total of 3 T20 matches and 2 Test series. Here are the schedule and venues:

  • November 17 – 1st T20 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium
  • November 19 – 2nd T20 JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi
  • November 21 – 3rd T20 at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata
  • November 25 to 29 – 1st Test at the Green Park, Stadium
  • November 3 to 7 – 2nd Test at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai

Pakistan Tour of Bangladesh

Pakistan’s tour of Bangladesh that is set to start on November 19 is a Test series part of the 2021 to 2023 ICC World Test Championship. The tour will have three T20 matches and two Test series. The three T20 matches will be held on November 19, 20, and 22 in the same venue which is at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka. The 1st Test series will be played from November 26 to 30 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong and the 2nd from December 4 to 8 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

Netherlands Tour of South Africa

The Dutch team is also scheduled to tour South Africa before the year ends. The tour will have three ODI matches set on November 26 and 28, and December 1. These ODI matches are part of the inaugural 2020 to 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. It is also an international Bilateral Series that is part of the Future Tour Programs (FTP) announced by the ICC in 2009. All three ODIs will be held at the Centurion Park, Centurion.

Afghanistan Tour of Australia

Afghanistan is set to fight a Test Series with Australia from November 27 to December 1. This one Test series is hosted by Australia and will be held at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart. This is also a Bilateral Series that is part of the ICC’s FTP.

Big Bash League 2021 to 2022

Also coming this year is the eleventh season of the Big Bash League with Sydney Sixers as the defending champions. The BBL is a professional men’s T20 domestic cricket competition. It is set to start on December 5 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The tournament will have a total of 61 matches with eight teams playing a double round-robin. The final is set for January 28.

The Ashes 2021 to 2022

Another popular tournament not to be missed this year is the 2021 Ashes Series or the Vodafone Men’s Ashes Series where England and Australia will compete. It is set to start on December 8 at the Brisbane Cricket Ground. A total of five tests will be played. Here’s the schedule:

  • December 8 to 12 – 1st Test at the Brisbane Cricket Ground, Brisbane
  • December 16 to 20 – 2nd Test at the Adelaide Oval, Adelaide
  • December 26 to 30 – 3rd Test t the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne
  • January 5 to 9 – 4th Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground
  • January 14 to 18 – 5th Test at the Optus Stadium in Perth

India Tour of South Africa 2021 to 2022

Another tour that will start in December is India’s tour to South Africa. It will have three Test matches, three ODIs, and four T20 matches. The first Test series will be from December 17 to 21. The tour will end with the fourth T20 match on January 26 at Boland Park in Paarl.
