Remember the name — Chihiro. She's brave, she's loyal, and she's the little girl who stars in Spirited Away, a Japanese animated film that will be screened at an iconic city theatre. The plot revolves around a town of ghosts and had, well, haunted us for days when we saw it first.

A tale that is hair-raising

Dalreen Ramos

Ming-Ming, Fat Little Bear is a delightful new children's book on Pratham Books' StoryWeaver. Written by award-winning author Jerry Pinto and illustrated by Vishnu M Nair (the two worked on the informative Postcards from Bombay), it's the story of a bear who wakes up with standing-up hair. And although the bear family pokes fun at it, he eventually comes to accept it. Even if the book is meant for kids, I think there's a lesson that we can all learn.
