Three youths have been arrested for allegedly sexually harassing two women constables here and slapping them when they resisted, police said today.
Yogesh (25), Deepak (21) and Shavani (24) have been arrested in connection with the incident that took place at Khatoli town yesterday, Deputy SP Tarik Mohammed said.
One of the injured constables has been admitted to the hospital, he said. In a separate incident, two police constables were arrested yesterday for allegedly extracting money from an ox-owner here, police said.
A case was registered against Ujjawal Singh (28) and Kamer Ali (32) of Khalapar police station for allegedly demanding money from the ox-owner saying he planned to slaughter his two oxes, they said.
The constables also forcibly took away the oxes, later recovered from their possession, following which the two were sent to jail and the Khalapar police outpost in-charge Virender sent to police lines, they added.
