Nashik: As many as 83 bags containing dry hemp (ganja) worth Rs 5.25 lakh was seized from a vehicle near here today, police said.
Dhule crime branch unit conducted random raids at resident of one Khalil Shaikh in Garibnawaz nagar locality in Dhule town, around 200 kms from here, inspector, Crime branch D R Patil said.
Acting on a tip off, police raided Shaikh's house and seized dry hemp kept in 83 bags in a four-wheeler parked outside Shaikh's home, he said, adding, hunt was on to nab the main suspect.
