A man was shot dead today by two unidentified miscreants who were trying to rob Rs 77 lakh from a courier company employee in southwest Delhi's Dwarka North area, police said

New Delhi: A man was shot dead today by two unidentified miscreants who were trying to rob Rs 77 lakh from a courier company employee in southwest Delhi's Dwarka North area, police said.

The incident took place around 1 PM near the airport when two armed robbers on a motorcycle waylaid one Joginder (26) and tried to snatch his bag containing cash.


When Joginder resisted, the miscreants fired a shot at him which missed him and instead hit the victim Ranjeet Singh. "As Singh collapsed in a pool of blood, the two robbers fled from the spot taking Joginder's bag which contained Rs 77 lakh.



A police a team from Dwarka north station rushed the victim to a hospital where he was declared brought dead," a police official said. A case has been registered on Joginder's statement and teams have been formed to nab the attackers.
