A 30-year-old woman has alleged that she was 'sexually harassed' by a youth on the pretext of marriage at Bagowali Village here, police said today

Muzaffarnagar: A 30-year-old woman has alleged that she was 'sexually harassed' by a youth on the pretext of marriage at Bagowali Village here, police said today.

The woman has also claimed in her complaint that she had converted to Islam on the hope of marrying the youth, according to the SHO Arun Singh.


The victim met SSP K B Singh and informed him about the matter, the SHO said.



According to the woman, she had been sexually harassed since two years on the pretext of marriage. She had also converted her religion.

Woman is a resident of Saharanpur, but had been living with the accused in the village under Newmandi Police Station in the district, Singh said.

Police have registered a sexual exploitation case against the accused, identified as Mustafa, on SSP's direction, Singh said, adding that the woman was also sent for medical examination.
