A major documentation camp in Dharavi has reached more than 18,000 hutments in just two weeks, an official statement said on Friday. The drive was run jointly by the Dharavi Redevelopment Project (DRP) and Navbharat Mega Developers Private Limited (NMDPL), officials said
The survey was conducted to ensure every eligible family is included in the government’s redevelopment scheme and that no household is left behind
The state is also looking to ensure that the livelihoods and businesses of the residents are protected after the revamp
The master plan for Dharavi is an attempt to build a world-class district for the residents on the existing property in the heart of Mumbai city
