Emotional homecoming! Hamid Ansari arrives in Mumbai after 6 years in Pak jail

Indian National Hamid Nihal Ansari returned to Mumbai on Dec 18, 2018, after spending six years in a Pakistani jail. Hamid was detained in 2012 for entering Pakistan and subsequently jailed on espionage charges. Software Engineer by profession, Ansari went to Pakistan to meet a woman he had befriended through social media. Ansari was awarded three-year imprisonment by a military court in December 2015 after being slapped with charges of espionage and involvement in anti-state activities.
