68-year-old stalwart leader Narendra Modi led his party BJP to a historic win in the recently concluded 2019 Lok Sabha Elections. After a thumping victory, PM Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister of India for the second consecutive term on May 30, 2019, in presence of nearly 8,000 people at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi.

Besides PM Narendra Modi, 25 Cabinet ministers, nine Ministers of State (Independent Charge) and 24 Ministers of State were sworn into the Council of Ministers. The big names included BJP president Amit Shah, newly elected MPs Smriti Irani and Babool Supriyo and veterans like Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharam and Nitin Gadkari to name a few.

Industrialist Mukesh Ambani, veteran industry leader Ratan Tata, steel baron L N Mittal and Adani Group head Gautam Adani were among the who's who of India's business industry present at the grand swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Council of Ministers.

Actor-turned-politician Sunny Deol, who joined BJP ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections also arrived in order to attend the oath-taking ceremony of PM Narendra Modi. Deol won the Gurdaspur constituency by a margin of 82,459 votes and defeated Congress heavyweight and sitting MP Sunil Jakhar.
Smriti Irani, who emerged as a giant-killer by dealing a shock defeat to Congress president Rahul Gandhi in Amethi also took oath as a Union Minister. While going in to take the oath, Smriti received loud applause from the crowd as she made her way to the stage.

The biggest name that was included in PM Narendra Modi's Council of Ministers was that of BJP president Amit Shah. Shah, who contested the Gandhinagar seat from Gujarat won by 5.57 lakh votes against Congress' CJ Chavda. He too took the oath as a Union Minister.

This was the 4th-time that a swearing-in ceremony was held in the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhawan. The last three occasions when the swearing-in ceremony during the time of Chandrashekhar in 1990, Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 1998 and Narendra Modi in 2014.

At the swearing-in ceremony of PM Narendra Modi, one industry that made its strong presence was that of the Bollywood industry. Sunny Deol, Kangana Ranaut, Karan Johar, Kapil Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, Shahid Kapoor, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Shahid Kapoor, Anupam Kher, and Anil Kapoor to name a few.

Kangana Ranaut, who has been vocal about her support to PM Narendra Modi also graced the swearing-in ceremony. Kangana was seen donning a traditional Indian outfit for the oath-taking ceremony. Kangana's team posted images of the actress dressed up for the event and captioned it: Savage in a Sari!
Actor Anupam Kher, who is considered as a vocal supporter of PM Narendra Modi, also attended the swearing-in ceremony along with his friend and Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor. After the oath-taking ceremony, President Ram Nath Kovind gave his nod to end the swearing-in ceremony. The swearing-in ceremony ended with the National anthem.
