Industrialist Ratan Tata, on March 28 announced that the Tata Trusts has pledged Rs 500 crore to help India fight the global pandemic. The chairman emeritus said that the amount will be used to buy personal protective equipment for medical professionals, to set up modular treatment facilities for COVID-19 infected patients, and to provide testing kits to increase per capita testing across the country. Besides these, the money will also be used to buy respiratory systems for treating the increasing number of coronavirus cases and to impart knowledge management and training of health workers and the general public amidst the coronavirus outbreak. In what can be called a heartfelt gesture, Ratan Tata also instructed the Taj Group of Hotels in Mumbai to open its rooms to the health workers of BMC. Additionally, the Taj Group of Hotels has also been providing meal to the health workers and Covid-19 patients admitted in Mumbai's government hospitals.

India's richest man, Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries announced a donation of Rs 500 crore to the PM-CARES fund on March 30 for those affected by the Coronavirus lockdown. Apart from the Rs 500 crore, the conglomerate also announced an additional Rs 5 crore to the chief minister's fund of Maharashtra and Gujarat. In a press release According to a report published in PTI, RIL will make provisions for 50 lakh free meals for the underprivileged, one lakh masks everyday for the health workers and caregivers, thousands of Personal Protective Equipments for health workers and caregivers, free fuel to notified emergency services across the country.
Mahindra and Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra announced on March 23 that the company would undertake a series of measures to tackle coronavirus on a public level. It included manufacturing ventilators and offering Mahindra resorts as a temporary healthcare facility. He also announced on Twitter that his company would be creating a fund to help people who run small-scale businesses and entrepreneurs and would encourage his associates to contribute to it. Ace fashion designer Anita Dongre anounced on Twitter that her fashion label's philanthropical wing Anita Dongre Foundation would set up a dedicated fund to support any medical treatments arising due to the deadly virus.
