The protest follows as the death toll in the country's one of the deadliest aviation accidents rose to 31, including 25 children
The F-7 BGI, a Chinese-made training fighter jet, crashed into Dhaka's Milestone School and College on Monday after suffering a "mechanical fault" shortly after takeoff
Meanwhile, Chief Adviser's special adviser, Saidur Rahman, reported that at least 25 of the deceased were children, many under 12, who died from severe burn injuries. Authorities fear the death toll could still rise
However, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported fatalities across several hospitals which included 16 at Combined Military Hospital, 10 at National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, 2 at Lubana General, and one each at Dhaka Medical, Uttara Adhunik, and United Hospital
Furthermore, Law Adviser Asif Nazrul, Education Adviser CR Abrar, and Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam visited the crash site, where students confronted them with shouted demands. However, the officials sought refuge inside a school building, but despite security, students besieged it, alleging authorities were hiding the true death toll
