The decision to grant amnesty was taken at BCCI’s Working Committee here. “More’s amnesty application has been accepted,” BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla told reporters. Prior to the fifth edition of the IPL, More had written to the Board seeking amnesty. The former chief national selector will now be eligible for the BCCI’s one-time benefit payment.u00a0

Meanwhile, PTI reported that Kapil Dev is likely to apply for amnesty. “Although this was not on the agenda, the president (N Srinivasan) informed the members that there has been fruitful discussions with Kapil Dev and the latter has agreed to seek amnesty. The formalities will be worked out soon,” a senior Working Committee member said.
