Mohali: After their best-ever show at IPL 7, Kings XI Punjab will look to continue their aggressive brand of cricket when they start their campaign against Hobart Hurricanes in a Group 'B' match of the Champions League Twenty20 here today.

Riding on their power-packed batting line-up, KXIP took IPL 7 by storm before finishing runners-up and George Bailey's men will look to continue their dominating show in their CLT20 debut.


KXIP has some explosive batsmen such as Bailey, Glenn Maxwell, Virender Sehwag, David Miller, besides Indian players Wriddhiman Saha, Manan Vohra and Rishi Dhawan.



Johnson doubtful
Meanwhile, Cricket Australia yesterday said that fast bowler Mitchell Johnson will not immediately join KXIP due to a rib injury.

Hobart Hurricanes, a team from Australia is captained by Tim Paine. The Hurricanes have some experienced players such as Doug Bollinger, Ben Hilfenhaus, Pakistan skipper Shoaib Malik and left-armer Xavier Doherty, who will be handling the responsibility.
