Coping with Sachin

Everytime Sachin Tendulkar's name is announced at stadiums, the roar is deafening. The Indian legend was always hugely popular but after his record-breaking 200 in the one-dayers against South Africa, Sachinmania has increased manifold. As he trooped out to open the innings with Sanath Jayasuriya, all hell broke loose in the stands. Even the policemen on duty at the East Stand made a dash for the gallery.

Their keenness to watch Tendulkar walk to the centre blocked the entrance to the stand.

This was security at its pits but not many will blame the local cops.

Blame it on Tendulkar's magic blade!
