Controversial Australian cricketer Andrew Symonds is on his way home from the World Twenty 20, reported Cricinfo.
Cricket Australia chief executive James Sutherland said Symonds broke team rules that related to alcohol. Symonds was at a Professional Cricketers Association dinner in London on Wednesday night, but did not make it to Australia's practice session at The Oval the next day.
Thanks to his controversial past, Symonds was given a final warning from his employers Cricket Australia. At a media conference in Melbourne, Sutherland said that the Queenslander had broken a number of rules in the last 24-48 hours. "In isolation, the breaches that I am talking about are not serious, but in the scheme of things, in the scheme of history, they are enough for it to be the final straw," Sutherland said.
