DY Patil beat Air India to take home T20 trophy

Hosts D Y Patil Sports Academy dethroned champions Air India (Delhi) to lay their hands on the glittering trophy and pocket the winner's purse of Rs 5 lakh in the Dr D Y Patil Twenty20 cricket tournament, which concluded at the D Y Patil Stadium, Nerul, on Thursday.

Playing under lights, D Y Patil, winning the toss and batting first, slammed 166 for 7 from 20 overs before restricting Air India to 120 for 5 for a comfortable 46-run victory. Air India took home Rs 3 lakh. Captain Swapnil Asnodkar, who represents Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, slammed 60 from 44 balls with seven boundaries and one six to lead the
run charge.
