Dinesh Kartik's 69 and Amit Mishra's three wickets help Delhi beat Rajasthan Royals by 67 runs

Dinesh Karthik fired a 38-ball 69, while Amit Mishra scalped 3 wickets for 25 runs as Delhi Daredevils brought an end to Rajasthan Royals' winning streak in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Wednesday.

Rajasthan, who had won last four of their outings in succession, were looking out of sorts. Royals lost the match by 67 runs at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium.

Royals got off to a disastrous start losing two wickets in the very first over of the innings when Sri Lankan bowler Farveez Maharoof picked up Michael Lumb (0) and Faiz Fazal (0).

Royals opener Naman Ojha looked in form and scored a quick 27 off 14 balls before falling prey to leg-spinner Mishra.

Afer being by Paul Collingwood on 2, Yusuf Pathan did try to revive the Rajasthan innings but later holed out to David Warner off Mishra's delivery.

Warner alone was responsible of bringing down Rajasthan. He not only took four catches to dismiss four Royals batsmen, but also got rid of skipper Shane Warne through a direct hit.

Earlier, Delhi Daredevils skipper Gautam Gambhir chipped in with a sedate 43 as his team posted 188 for six against Rajasthan Royals.

Coming into bat when Delhi were gasping for breath at 67 for four in 8.3 overs, Kathik forged a crucial 79-run fifth wicket partnership with skipper Gambhir in 50 balls to resurrect the innings and then fired in the late overs to help the home team post their highest total in IPL III.

The Daredevils batsman plundered six fours and four sixes before being dismissed in the last ball of the innings.
