As Ravi Shastri's contract as the Team Director for the India ended after the ICC World T20, BCCI have been on the lookout to appoint a new individual as the coach of the Indian cricket team.

Virat Kohli and Daniel Vettori share a great rapport as captain and coach respectively, of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team. So this recommendation, if true, comes as no surprise.
