Former India captain Nari Contractor was admitted to hospital after suffering a head injury from a fall during morning walk on Saturday.

"He (Contractor) was taking his morning walk in his colony Rustom Baug (in South Mumbai) and had a fall. He was admitted to the hospital and is much better now," Bapu Nadkarni, former India spinner and Contractor's teammate of yesteryears, was quoted as saying by PTI.

Contractor, 77, is undergoing treatment at the Parsee General Hospital ICU, and is currently stable.
