Soon after it was learnt that Harbhajan Singh had slammed a legal notice against Vijay Mallya's UB Group yesterday over a liquor advertisement, it was learnt that the notice was in fact initiated by the off-spinner's mother.
The ad shows a young sardar being slapped by his father which appears to be a take-off from one of the commercials Harbhajan features in. This reportedly irked Harbhajan's mother, Avtar, who is then said to have sent the notice to UB Group demanding an unconditional public apology to Bhajji's family in all widely read newspapers as well as television channels and withdrawal of the commercial within three days of receiving it.
